| The Environmental Working Group (EWG), an environmental research and advocacy organization with offices in Washington, DC and Oakland, CA, seeks a California State Government Relations Director to represent the organization on legislative and regulatory issues. The Director will be based in Sacramento, and will report to EWG’s Vice President/West Coast in Oakland and its Director of Government Affairs in Washington. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in legislative and policy battles at the state level, preferably in a leadership, decision-making capacity, including experience drafting and interpreting legislation and regulations. Have direct legislative and policy experience in Sacramento. Have experience in media, Internet and grassroots-driven issue advocacy. Salary is commensurate with experience and expertise.
